Return Policy
Because of the shop labor, shipping, packaging,
and administrative costs incurred in processing an order, it is important
that our customers know exactly what they want and need before ordering.
If you are not sure what you are ordering, please call us for
clarification. A sale that results in an unhappy customer is not worth the
sale.
There is a 25% restocking fee on
In-Stock 6'8" tall doors and 30% restocking fee on 8' tall doors.
No returns on Special-Order and Custom doors.
The customer must prepay all freight when
returning an order.

Packaging and Shipping
We ship to the 48 contiguous U.S. states and the
District of Columbia only.
We package all doors between double-wall
corrugated pad. We then edge them with corrugated u-boards and place
them on a pallet.
The order is shipped via a motor freight carrier.
Dealing with a motor freight carrier is different than using UPS or the
Postal Service. Someone must be present at the shipping address to take
the order from the back of the truck. When your product arrives, expect it
to be heavy and bulky. Do not expect a motor freight driver to help you
unload. They will move your product to the back of their truck and from
that point on, the load is yours to manage.
The door(s) will be easier to manage once you cut
the plastic bands that bind them to the pallet. This will leave you
handling a 60 lb door (approximately) rather than an entire pallet. This
will also allow you to inspect for any damage.

Freight Damage
We have selected our freight carriers primarily
for their quality of handing, therefore it is unusual for a shipment to
arrive damaged, but, now and again, it does happen.
It is important that you check your shipment
immediately and make a note of any damage. If you have received a damaged
item, refuse that item and accept the items that are in good condition.
Call us and notify us of the damages and we will
promptly ship a replacement item. We handle any claims with the freight
carrier and reship to you at no additional cost.

Two year Limited Warranty
All doors manufactured by Ambiance
Incorporated are warranted to the original buyer or to the buyer of the
structure wherein the doors are installed to be free from defects in
materials and workmanship as described herein. The warranty is for a
period of two (2) years from the date of shipment from Ambiance and is
subject to the conditions and restrictions listed below.
Upon receipt of door, buyer must inspect for
defects. This must be done prior to installing, hanging, or fitting. If a
defect is found, buyer has (30) days to send written notice of the
discovered defect to Ambiance Inc., 3208 Wellington Court – Suite 109,
Raleigh, N.C. 27615. If a defect is discovered or occurs after a door is
installed, written notice of the defect must be sent to Ambiance within
two (2) years of the original date of shipment. Ambiance shall not be
responsible for any goods returned, repaired, or replaced without prior
written consent. In no event shall Ambiance pay for the cost of labor,
installation, or finishing of the replacement or original door, or for any
other cost relating to the replacement of the door, all of which shall be
the responsibility of the person making the warranty claim.
The following are not considered to be
defects in material or workmanship and are not covered by this limited
warranty:
1. For
any door 3/0 wide or less, warp that does not exceed ¼” in the plane of
the door. Warp refers to distortion in the door itself and does not refer
to the door in relation to the frame or jamb in which it is hung.
2. Natural
variations in the grain, color, and texture of wood. This includes
variations or unsatisfactory results in the texture or appearance of
paints, stains, or any other finishing materials.
3. Damage
caused by others, or by any cause beyond the control of Ambiance including
but not limited to: damage caused by misuse, abuse, accident,
mishandling, fire, flood, earthquake, storm, tornado, or other acts of
nature.
4. Damage
caused by failure to comply with the care, handling, or finishing
instructions provided by Ambiance.
5. Ambiance
doors shipped outside the continental United States.
6. Doors
that are not properly hung or installed or which do not swing freely.
If the claimed nonconformity is warp,
Ambiance may defer the repairing for a period of twelve (12) months from
the date of claim or the date when the product was installed, as it is not
uncommon for a temporary warp condition to occur as the door adjusts to
local temperature and humidity conditions. This waiting period is separate
from the time period of the two (2) year warranty.
Limitations & Exclusions
Ambiance disclaims and excludes all other
warranties, express or implied, including the warranties of
merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. This warranty is the
sole remedy of the buyer against Ambiance.
This warranty is
effective for all products manufactured or sold by Ambiance, Inc. after
December 1, 2002.
